Some basic knowledge about twin-screw conical mixer

The twin screw cone mixer is a newly developed mixing equipment mainly suitable for mixing and stirring powder or granular materials. The materials that have completed the hot mixing process can be rapidly cooled to eliminate residual gases in the hot mixed materials, facilitating material storage, transportation, and subsequent processing. The parts in contact with the raw materials and mixtures are made of stainless steel, aluminum alloy, and other materials to ensure that the raw materials and mixtures are not contaminated.

Its working principle is that the two asymmetric spirals inside the mixer barrel rotate themselves to lift the material upwards, and the rotating arm rotates slowly; Make the materials outside the spiral enter the screw to varying degrees, thereby achieving continuous updating and diffusion of materials in all circumferential directions. The two materials mentioned in the upper part then converge towards the central concave cavity, forming a downward material flow that fills the gap at the bottom, thus forming a triple mixing effect of convective circulation; This machine has a wide adaptability to mixed materials, does not overheat thermosensitive materials, does not feed or grind granular materials, and does not produce chip separation when mixing materials with significant weight differences and different particle sizes. The conical cylinder is suitable for high requirements of no residue in mixed materials. Twin screw cone mixer is widely used for mixing powders and powders (solid liquid) in chemical, dye, food, feed, building materials, rare earth, and other industries.

The self rotation and revolution of the equipment are completed by a set of motors and a cycloidal pinwheel reducer. Two screws are used for asymmetric mixing, which allows for a wide range of material mixing, more uniform mixing, fast mixing speed, and a significant difference in weight. Materials with a larger mixing ratio are more suitable for mixing. All parts in contact with the materials in this machine are made of stainless steel. There is a set of electric motors and a cycloidal pinwheel reducer to complete the rotation, using two screw asymmetric mixing, which allows for a wide range of material mixing, fast mixing speed, and a significant difference in weight, making it more suitable for mixing materials with larger mixing ratios.

The powder flows upwards from the bottom of the cone and is discharged onto the surface around the spiral for material mixing. The downward flow of powder particles caused by spiral rotation is precisely due to the combination of spiral rotation in the mixer, forming four flow forms of powder: convection, shear, diffusion, and infiltration. Therefore, the powder can quickly achieve uniform mixing in the mixer. The twin screw cone mixer eliminates faults caused by powder infiltration from the bottom bearings, with fast mixing speed and uniform quality. The double helix of this machine is arranged asymmetrically, expanding the mixing range one by one, making it more suitable for mixing materials with significant differences in specific gravity and mixing ratios.
